HF Carbon Steel Frying Pan Class
February 25 @ 9:00 am - February 26 @ 5:00 pm$400
In this class, you’ll learn more about types of steel, shaping and twisting a handle, seasoning and caring for your new lifetime carbon steel pan, and enjoy using your own creation for a meal at the end of the class! If time allows, we’ll make a spatula too.
Note: although not mandatory, if you haven’t completed the Beginner Workshop, or the equivalent experience, you might be advised to try that first – you’ll understand and enjoy this class even more!
Supplies are provided. On the second day, bring your own steak (and a beverage) and we’ll cook and reward ourselves for the days efforts; the accompaniments will be provided.
Class runs 9am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday with a lunch break. Please plan to arrive early (8:30 am). You can bring a lunch, or there is a Subway within walking distance, and several restaurants. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate will be provided at the shop.
Class sizes are a minimum of 4 and maximum of 6.
You are responsible for supplying your own safety goggles, boots, long sleeve shirt and non-flammable clothing, and gloves.
Cost is $400.00. A deposit of $200.00 is due with your application, payable by e-transfer, cash, debit, MC and Visa. The balance is due prior to the start of the course. On arrival at the shop, students must sign a waiver of liability.
If you prefer a weekday class, please contact us and we will work around your preference. Private groups are welcome! Ladies are welcome in any class. The age limit for participants is sixteen and over (minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult).
